The Himalayan K9 Chew is a 100% natural dog treat made by New Zealand company BestMate PetCare, based on an original ancient recipe from the Himalayan region of Nepal.
Handcrafted using a traditional cheese making process, this hard-cheese chew is a true dog’s delight.
It is a healthy snack with an irresistible cheese taste.
The Himalayan K9 Chew was BestMate’s first product, after its founder discovered Chhurpi cheese while looking for a long-lasting treat to occupy his dog Opie.
Originally Chhurpi was eaten by Nepalese Sherpas, who would give some to their dogs.
The team at BestMate modified the recipe to make the perfect treat for dogs with low lactose. The chews are made from a hard cheese that has been dried for up to 3 months.
This Small Himalayan K9 Chew is best suited for dogs weighing under 7kg, over 16 weeks old.
The cheese stick weighs around 41 grams.
